This audio book author’s voice is INSANE just a very calming British woman speaking like she’s telling you a bedtime story that also sounds like the story of the beginning of human life

This book I know is fun and cool but damn I think he writes his women is wack

Heartbreaking but incredible

This guy is kind of insane but I think he’s making a compelling argument for why the current economy should no longer be described as late stage capitalism

Revolutionary poet turned priest and scientist from Nicaragua I can’t wait to read this!!

Every sentence is so densely packed with meaning and at times I’m not even sure where the story is going but kingsolver is reeling me in with these lessons about the indomitable human spirit and making the struggles relatable or something to empathize with.

This book is both healing without being too preachy and I kind of love it. Not at all what I expected. I think Shafak is really good with stories within stories. A skilled layerer.

I’ve already read one or two books by this author but I like him. This book is based on homes for girls in the US - I definitely only thought of it happening in Ireland where young girls who gave birth out of wedlock had to go but they were here in the US from WWII until roe v wade in 1970s. And I can’t wait to see how Hendrix adds some witches to this.

This book is really hardly telling me much that I don’t know. Basically the author interviewed 50 french gen z to analyse attitudes about sex and gender, online dating, the manosphere, and like 10 bisexuels a few genderqueer people. Honestly due to the internet and globalization seems like all the same issue facing Americans for the most part. Maybe a few more young people have life less focused on sex.
