This book is really hardly telling me much that I don’t know. Basically the author interviewed 50 french gen z to analyse attitudes about sex and gender, online dating, the manosphere, and like 10 bisexuels a few genderqueer people. Honestly due to the internet and globalization seems like all the same issue facing Americans for the most part. Maybe a few more young people have life less focused on sex.

Can’t believe I’m finally getting to this after like almost 10 years of it being recommended to me in college

This book is so intriguing w these strange magical children who are destined to be together but I’m not sure if they know how magical they are. I also wanna see if they’ll hook up. Stay tuned.

I started reading this so I could be a performative french man seems like it is pretty foundational feminism. It’s a nice review in some ways and offers a more global perspective than some of the American works I’ve read. And the intersections of french colonial dynamics are interesting to focus on here.

It’s crazy because of how the tugboats on the Mississippi are basically rafting…they know the currents and while they have engines they also just have to push the boat upstream and hope for the best. Like they are truly guides who know every bend in the river.

Also crazy how important this river was and is and how corrupt the army corps of engineers has always been.

Very helpful but I’m sobbing
