Oh my gosh! I've been waiting for this novel forever and I'm so glad it's finally been released. Oh just to crack the cover and take a deep breath of that 'new book' smell. Shall we begin?

I just can't finish this book. I had such high hopes for a historical horror set during the 12th century. Tales of the Black Plague and the family of the Black Prince but alas it's not what I expected. Maybe I'll find another English or Spanish book somewhere in the book store today.

Hmm, another holiday read, one of the only ones left in English in the 'horror' genre. Not exactly a fan yet. It's a slow burner but I can't live without a book in my hand so on we go!

In the end of book one, Dex mentioned a case in Texas. They aren't going to Texas, it's New Mexico instead. #confused

I am so excited to read the last instalment in this series. It's enchanted me from the first page. I'll be sad to see it end, but here we go!

Yikes! Stay away from Devlin, don't call the police even if he goes missing.... Ghosts and now she's haunted. Can't wait to continue!

It doesn't matter how many times I read Anne Rice's novels I love them more and more each time. She has this incredible power of painting an incredible picture of the scene for the reader. You fall into her stories and getting out isn't just impossible....you don't want to.

I am so obsessed with this book I stayed awake reading until 1am despite having to be at work this morning. Alas, I had to put it down. Now that I'm back from work, I'm back at it. So good so far! I LOVE that Thorne & Cross include LGBQT characters in their books. It's so refreshing!

Whilst I've enjoyed this book, it's so hard for me to get through :/ I love Adam Nevill's books, but this one is just not doing it for me.

A cult, murders, group suicide and the paranormal? It's got it all going on!

A child disappearing...a well with a cross atop it...children coming from seriously dysfunctional homes and something mysterious about a itty bitty town in the mountains. On we go!

Something nasty lurking deep beneath the Earth........oh this is going to get interesting!

Starting this book nearly felt like cheating on Yellowrock Securities...that being said I'm so glad I did! Halfway through and I couldn't put it down - even though I had to be at work this morning. I'm hoping this series will have many more books to come!

Too early to tell, but easily becoming one of the best novels I've read in quite some time. The history, the mystery and the unknown. It's fantastic!

Creepy, but a bit confused on how the two different stories within the novel will tie together in end....and on to the next...chapter!

So far so good. I'm a big fan of Adam Nevill. This novel is quite different from Apartment 16 and No One Gets Out Alive, but I'm loving the mix of history and horror that this novel brings to the table!

Written from the perspective of no less than four people, it's hard to gain an insight from any one character. Plot development is good, though it is a bit slow going at first. You have your opinions about what could be going on but nothing confirmed until you are well into the book. I do like the side stories that are going on, if further written out could have made a series out of this one.
