Written from the perspective of no less than four people, it's hard to gain an insight from any one character. Plot development is good, though it is a bit slow going at first. You have your opinions about what could be going on but nothing confirmed until you are well into the book. I do like the side stories that are going on, if further written out could have made a series out of this one.
