I’m so off romantasy to the extent that I am 7% into this and it’s already being a little tropey in the set up that if I didn’t spend my hard earned Audible credit on this I would DNF at 7%. I just don’t wanna put myself through these romantasy tactics but I must persevere, i’m already upset that my physical copy is made redundant by the new edits.

2 things: I’m always gonna accept an available Libby audio and books 2 AND 3 came through so here I am.
Secondly, we don’t talk enough about how hard it is to read a book where you don’t buy the romance. Cause everytime these 2 profess their feelings in their internal monologue, I roll my eyes.

Right so she has to step into a furnace that they will turn off after 10 minutes and if she’s still alive then she passes the 2nd trial…? How is this a trial exactly?? Sigh this is so dumb!

That was the silliest catalyst for the plot ever. Also what a ridiculous first trial? I want to erase those last 10 pages. That was sooo goofy to me.

The audiobook is so good! The narrators?!!! I’m eating. I’m laughing. I think I’m really going to enjoy this.

Is it Christmas? No. Are we anywhere near Christmas? No. Is this book literally 8 chapters and an epilogue? Yes. Was this the first available audiobook that was short? Absolutely. So here I am reading a festive book in May. However I’m still expecting it to be somewhat decent as I have read from this author before and loved that book.

I’m not rooting for them like at all…

These two are a hot mess, dumpster fire! Evan is intolerable I don’t remember how I felt about him in book 1 but in here he’s soooo immature.
