Hazlitt continues by debunking the fallacy of tariffs and subsidies and exposing the inefficiency of economic protectionism. Interesting, yet, I must conclude at this point that the book is much too verbose and repeats many of the same things far too often.

"Free Market Economics in One Lesson" would be a more fitting title for this book. The entire thing seems to be a one-sided diatribe from the viewpoint of a libertarian fiscal conservative. However, while I do harbor some creeping reservations, Hazlitt has so far been largely adept at deconstructing economic fallacies which unfortunately continue to persist to this day.
