Nice to get to read 70 pages since I didn’t yesterday. Everything about the show is better. Besides the Skype scene. I understand why it’s not there but I want it in the show. Also, I love when people say kiss on the mouth instead of lips. Random but it’s just better. “Scott Hunter was kissing a man wearing street clothes FULL ON THE FUCKING MOUTH.” Ilya Rosanov you are so me and you will always be famous.

I essentially just read the second half of episode 4. Now it’s episode 5 time babyyyyy.
Neither scene would’ve been nearly as impactful without the show, especially the club scene. Jacob Tierney the storyteller you are. You know which things to pull out and change to make something TRULY sickening.

Everything about this scene in the show is better than in the book. Except one line: That made Ilya laugh. It wasn’t warm.

Bro I cannot stand not being able to read this book in one sitting. But I have to stick to my schedule. FUCK

It’s good. I like it. Jacob Tierney really fixed absolutely anything wrong with the book in the show. The show is better, and I don’t say that often about adaptations. In fact, I say it never. The timeline of the show makes more sense chronologically with the story than the book. But the book is still good.

Good. I like seeing the show scenes in my head while I read, and then the book just adds more internal dialogue and motives for the characters. Something I already really like, with added details. And the characters already have a look in my head because I’ve memorized the show.

Yes I’m reading Heated Rivalry. Yes I’m rationing it out so I don’t finish it too fast.

Poor Kell has no idea what's coming for him: Holland is alive and the king of White London, Holland is planning to transfer the Black London parasite magic to him to save his London, Kell has no idea Lila is in the games or has been working with Alucard....
I fucking love this book. It rocks. Even more than the first one so far.

I'm liking this one even better so far, I think. Also, what a twist about Holland being the king of White London? What the fuck? I'm very interested to figure out how he got out of Black London. Also, it's making me sad that Kell doesn't feel welcome in the palace with the king and queen anymore, and he feels like everyone in the city is afraid of him :(

Shoutout B this is so fire. Kell is definitely my favorite but I also LOVE Holland. I’m warming up to Lila.

Not too much time to read at work today...but I am very interested in Rhy being a queer character, and it seems like other characters are hinted to being queer as well. I'll let B know. I'm excited!

Meh. It’s okay. But I’m not even half through, so I’m hopeful. Plus I love gay romance so.

Super good! I’m liking this one so far. Also I love Baz. So much. Comfort character for sure. He’s soft inside but doesn’t like to show it.

Good so far. I love Baz so much. Comfort character right there. Still wish they would’ve had the Humdrum / evil Mage storyline still going. Also I want things to get a little more serious between Simon and Baz. Also super cool they’re literally in Omaha for a good portion of this story. The direct juxtaposition of Simon and Baz’s characters — chef’s kiss — hilarious.

Love it so far. LOVE that Baz is a vampire I was not expecting that. Can’t wait for Baz and Simon to start kissing I LOVE enemies to lovers.

Pretty good so far. I only remember the beginning parts of the book with the unexpected dwarves and Gandalf and the trolls in the woods. So I’m interested to see what happens for the rest of the book that I don’t remember. And I’m very excited to read The Lord of the Rings when I’m done with The Hobbit.

This is so much better than the show, by the way. You just don’t get “testing a kiss by leaning into and getting welcomed by Henry’s slightly opening mouth and a graze of his tongue against his” in a TV show.
