the author’s intermezzo spoke pretty heavily about the author’s personal involvement in other social justice concerns both abroad and domestically—which makes sense to understand why she got involved with the radiation tests, but also helps add context to how much the intersection of class and race was a factor in the radiation tests.

i cannot believe book grace is so much more confident than movie grace. book grace’s naivety means that he is sure he was trained for this and obviously knows what to do somewhere deep in his sludgy brain
