Caught up with Life and times of Jarzyl Mintaka by Oridian.
It's a quite wholesome story developing in nice ways.
Looking forward for its continuation, long life to Jarzyl, Atlas and their friends ! There's a great potential here, as long as the author is wanting.

Now I'll re-read the Dragonspark prologue to get it fresh, then the first book.

80% in Jarzyl Mintaka and I can't put it down.
In addition to the general wholesomeness of the characters, the interactions are handled pretty good and keeping tension from one expectation to another one.
The personal and social stakes in the story are engrossing if you're into that.

About 1/3 through Life and times of Jarzyl Mintaka and having a great time.
Someone (an evil ear profanator) said it lacked stakes, but I don't know what you need more : not getting caught at mischief and all other fledgeling challenges ?
I'm getting addicted to this cast, Jarz is endearing as hell but the others are good too. Feel like I'll miss them, like I did with Sythyry when I finished it.

I started The Life And Times Of Jarzyl Mintaka
It's a quite fun slice of life story and an easy read enough that the length might pass unnoticed.
My only gripe so far is that many life aspects seem very parallel to a human society, though it's easy to say that. In a xenofiction world building it's hard to draw the line between a species own traits and development, and what co-evolution might make similar.

O, how I had missed Sylph's subtle sense of humor !

I guess this fits the comfort read slot after Chained Flame - which was a great read, must review it on smashwords and on gr as soon as it's there.

I finished Revaramek the Resplendent.
An amazing work, even unfinished as it is.
And will remain.

It's not only a gripping story with endearing protags.
It's also a philosophical journey on many accounts, not the boring way philosophy classes could be.
Struggles and redemptions of simple mortals or gods take you on that journey seamlessly.

2 months since Of the Wilds passed.
I hope this will be published, one day.

Started Revaramek the Resplendent a week ago, now at chapter 36.
This kind of layered story wasn't what I was expecting and I was taken aback, but I'm definitely stuck in it. It has its own sort of troubling world building, along with similarily well written emotional character arcs like Dragon in the Dungeon and Pledged in Blood.
Wherever you are now, you did great.

Starting Night Rising, a story in the same universe as Scales and Honor, sharing a key character of City of Light.

Reading DitD Sins of Father ch. 33

I have come to believe the MC has a curse with mortals or inanimate objects taking advantage of the few moments he allows himself to pass out drunk.

So far I'd describe it as a successful mix between Dragon Fire Rising and Mating Flight.
The humor and defunct but good MC of the first, with the acidic wit and twisted morals of the second, with a lot of subverted tropes.
Plus, it's well written and easy to read.

Getting into Of the Wilds' Dragon in the Dungeon, part 11 Sins of the Father chapters 31-32

I'm not up to date with the latest DitD chapters, up to chapter 29 of Sins of the Father.

Some interesting backstory in there regarding Krek and Valar.
The journey continues, and Val is having a hard time getting used to his new found freedom while he gets to catch up with his son.

Good stuff, with quite a few emotion loaded moments.
