I don't know what I expected this book to be but I'm not sure this is it?

I genuinely have not read this book in forever but I don't wanna stop reading it??? The MMC is great and I love him but the FMC is actually irritating the shit out of me so I haven't picked this up in a couple of months I think

What in the actual fuck is the point of having two narrators for an audiobook if the narrators aren't going to read their characters lines in each other's chapters? I don't want to hear the MMC doing a girl voice when the FMC talks in his chapter. Just have the other narrator do it!

This hit hard. I have a cousin who's the same age as me. He was allowed to play in the family poker game at 16 even though the rule was you couldn't play if you were under 18. When I asked to play I was told I was too young. When I pointed out he was my age, I was told "well that's different". It's not different, it's misogyny.

I'm really into how complex this book is. Heathcliff as an adult man is such a horrible person that does horrible stuff and we are really starting to get into the parts of his backstory where it's evident he was formed into this monstrous thing by racism and abuse throughout his childhood. It really is a perfect example of "hurt people hurt people".

"Come in! Come in! Cathy, do come. Oh, do - once more! Oh! My heart's darling! Hear me this time, Catherine, at last!"

I really appreciate this quote and this first glimpse at the madness of Heathcliff without Catherine.

Maddie is getting on my last goddamn nerve

I can't begin to put into words how excited I am that this book is finally on audio. I own the rest of the series in physical copies but I listened to them on audio first so I told myself I would not read this book until I found it in audio form. I don't care that I'm already in the middle of several other books, this could not wait.

I know it's after Christmas but I’m determined to finish this anyway

If you're gonna go out or your way to get two narrators, WHY is this man still doing a girlie voice for the woman's lines? Just let the woman do her character's lines???

Is anyone else having issues reviewing/rating the books that they've read in the last few days? I finished an audiobook yesterday but I can't rate or review it. I keep getting an error pop-up saying Goodreads is at capacity and to try logging out or force closing the app? I've done both of those things multiple times and it still won't fix.

Not as much focused on me as I was led to believe. Still super interesting for sure but less reader insert than advertised.

I’m over 2 and a half hours into this audio book and I’m just...meh.

Really thought I would be enjoying this more but I’m nearly 2 hours into the audio book and not a whole lot is going on.

I am sooooo sick of Edward telling Bella who she can and cannot hang out with like she’s a fucking child

No. Because no. I can tell what's about to happen, the second I Heard him start talking about a file sticking out of her bag I knew what the fuck was about to happen. I know that he's not gonna let her explain and I also know she's dumb as hell for not telling him before they slept together. I hate shit like this in Books. I'm tempted to DNF it when there's less than 30 minutes left of this audiobook. I really am.
