I really appreciate seeing his progress. From talking to his friends. Defending himself, then truly seeing himself, and now in therapy. I want to see Charlie in therapy too. She deserves to really gain more strength and to finally stand up to her parents hopefully.

Where did Madison disappear to? She goes from texting and calling daily to just gone? Maybe she really did die in surgery….

The timeline is so off. Ethan says he gave away his mate 6 years ago, but it doesn’t add up…
She left pregnant so 9 months plus 730 days. Then 6 months until he found her. Thats a total of 3 years so far. Are we to believe he stayed there for 3 years trying to win her back? But no, Alaric even said he was only gone 6 months.

He says that they took Ash on day 692, but that’s not true because she only started counting after she gave birth. And he took Ash when he was only 4 days old. She left a week or 2 after day 730. Day 730 was the last she could keep record of before they chained her up.

The baker needed a healer… and suddenly she has healer magic that’s been there since she was a child?! WTH?

If you’re going to move the book from an app that’s one chapter at a time onto Kindle, why not edit the inconsistencies… the complete flip between chapter 8 & 9 is nuts.

They’ve only been gone 6 months and supposedly Ethan, Elijah’s twin, looks like the man who was Ash’s father. But there’s not a hint of recognition? It would be a good way for Ember to be afraid of Ethan as well… Elijah did hurt her mother many times after all.

End of Ch 4 - he’s staying to grovel, but what about your wife? Are we going to hear anything about Lady Seraphina or is she just gone now?

I’m confused why no one noticed Ash was gone…

Please do not forgive Ethan. She keeps wanting him to rescue her and it feels like she still has faith in this horrible mate. He is just as bad and deserves none of her forgiveness.

Why do they always go back? And cheating? Now she’s just as flawed as he is. I guess Jamie is the hero? I need his happy ending.

Some of it is repetitive and some inconsistent. She had an at home birth, not a C-section. So why does she suddenly have a scar? Book is good until you make changes but don’t go back to edit them into the story for continuity.

Where are her parents? Why haven’t we seen them yet? Why isn’t she asking about them at all? It seemed like they loved her when they were defending her and crying with her at the rejection. Now they’re just MIA.

The story is somewhat interesting, but it is repetitive as it moves back and forth through the POVs. The chapter changes are a bit odd. It would make more sense to change POV with a new chapter. The book could use an edit. I wish they explained the fight exams better, why did Alora have to fight Darian twice?

How is it that none of these couples know they are true mates? It hasn’t been revealed yet, but it seems obvious.

Thank goodness the MMC is finally not calling her baby.

It feels like the men are written without any true male perspective. Either very stereotypically male or very much how this woman idealizes this man to be but not based much in reality.

She is delusional blaming him for her ACL injury. Feels like this book was written by someone very young or very naive.

How about for putting a stop to things in the elevator. Thank you for recognizing The Mistake she was about to make. Jeez. Always letting him get the upper hand.

Pretty big leap that she’s decided you can’t trust hockey players because her dad liked hockey and he left her mom.

The baby endearment is always so cringe to me.

I appreciate period sex because it’s not “gross”, but maybe fade to black… seems too personal.

It could have used a bit larger dramatic climax for the 2 of them. I appreciate the lack of a 3rd act breakup, but drama makes for a good book.

It was confusing when they switched between first and last names for the hockey players. Pick a name.

This book feels very late night B movie, soft core porn and less story driven spice if that makes sense.
