I am not a fan on how this audio book was recorded. It’s strange how it is done in a dramatic way with background noise and music. Why change it from how the first one was recorded?

What?! A baby? Did they forget to mention how big she was in pregnancy? The only thing they said was a little baby bump. You couldn’t tell she was pregnant until she put her hands on her belly meaning she wasn’t far along cuz if your just a month away there’s no hiding it.

He’s mentally incapable of being selfish?!!! Wtf! That’s all he is. I am so confused why this author is continuing on this story line w this relationship.

Seriously?!!? Why does this chick have such a hard on for this guy? I am baffled. I was so happy when i thought he died thinking the story can move on but we gotta have this selfish toxic relationship at the forefront apparently.

If she continues to go for Cole I am done. I am hoping that she would fall for Jase and see how Cole makes her feel like sh*t and how Jase just wanted to make her happy… but I have a feeling this is one of those stories where they try to make the controlling abusive traits of the the man morph into “true love” because that’s a healthy relationship!

Ugh… so good but they just said Shasta brought something to Female MC when she is on trip with York and Wendall therefore cannot be there in the hotel. Annoying when things like that happen. Takes you out of the story.

I am struggling to finish this. I just lost all desire to find out what happens with these characters and I can’t explain what it was that caused me to feel this way but I AM STRUGGLING to care about any of these things happening here.

And I have to say, Mackenzie is the most self absorbed childish character of the series. I would skip over all her parts if I wasn’t afraid that I would miss something. I mean there has to be a SOME point to her character.

How did Taghi save the people in Mckenzie’s court by aligning himself with Dragon King? I mean, her dad died and he was in process of trying to kill her brother and Nah(blah blah blah- no clue what fae’s name is) and Gand(blah blah blah). Not to mention Addy. So besides her who did the alliance save who did not save themself?

Since the first book you learn about the mysterious Fey who have been cursed to their lands in slumber however, I am still waiting to learn who cursed them, why they were cursed, why one was allowed to not be cursed to look for a cure… i assume that will be revealed in this one. Author still doesn’t understand how to use hadn’t, but at least it’s used a lot less then the previous books, so far.

I don’t think this author understands how to use the conjunction hadn’t. It means had not. It cannot be used to mean had he not. Anytime hadn’t is used (or most of the time it is used), it is not used correctly. Weird.

“Hadn’t it not been …” instead of Had it not been for…. Did they use an editor at all? Each chapter is filled with mistakes like this. Not only that, but the sentence structures are so off… it takes you out of the story. It’s a good story but these mistakes are just ruining it.

This is no bad but there are so many editing errors such as words left out of sentences (“… his course was set toward the waiting by the stables.” Instead toward the girl waiting by the stables and the story is full of this type of thing). Also suddenly, have way through the book there is a new voice. Brax has his own chapter? That is just strange to add the the voices of the story half way through.

So what about her “power”? It’s like that has been forgotten? I thought that was a big reason why she was taken there but it seems that was just a way for the author to get her to Onyx because no one seems to care or think her “power” is anything. I thought it would be a major part of her character but, nope.

Still super predictable… hoping that the next “surprise” moment isn’t what i am thinking but… with the way this is going I’m going to assume it will be.

I guess it can be written, but you wouldn’t know how to say the word right.

How does one teach someone a complicated language without being able to speak? Seems like an oversight in editing…

This is just a stupid or silly (?) premise. I am the most important snowflake and i have to pretend to be madly in love w the beautiful man to save humanity… ugh! Please show me something redeeming so I didn’t waste my money on this.

This main girl so far is very annoying. With all the good ratings I am really hoping this gets better.

Oh. My. Goodness! The use of commas in almost every sentence is driving me crazy and it makes sentences so convoluted sometimes.

Some of the wording and sentence structure is… off. Some sentences just don’t make sense and some are wordy without needing to be, like run on sentences. Also, some punctuation is just placed incorrectly. The punctuation problems take me out of the story because of how commas are placed. It seems to need another round with editing.

Talk about an info dump. It’s not even done well… its just Hawk explaining the history of his people but in a very narrative way.

I still don’t understand why Kiva is in prison. I understand her why her dad was but why did they put her in prison with him when she was 7? Did i miss that explanation? This makes no sense.

What happened to all the people who traveled with Craig besides Gabe and whats his name? They haven’t been mentioned in a long time. Like they just disappeared after moving into the houses and storing ammo.

How funny that i just wrote how strange the electrical thing was when now it is being mentioned and looked at? Haha

I really wish they would explain more about the power… it was said that a couple people were left alive who had worked at the power plant but do they never leave? Are there military who live at the power plant too to keep workers safe? There is no talk about fear thatBoone will go take it over either? Which seems like a very likely thing for someone who wants revenge and power over people to do….

These ”ribbons,” I do not understand them at all? I mean, this whole world… I don’t get it. Are only royals born with powers? Do other people have additional appendages like these “ribbons?” Was she born with them? And, do other people think she has real ribbons growing from her back? Are there multiple ones coming out all down her back along her spine?

I am also confused… did she live with her dad after her mother died or not. It said she did but just now it said that after her mom died that Faolon guy found her at the boarder between human and fae and brought her to the orphanage. I clearly remember it saying she lived with her dad and stepmom before she was sent to the orphanage.

I really am confused on the training in underhill. Not everyone has to go there to be grouped and sorted based off their training but they call her a mutt however it seems like only halfbreeds have to do this? Or is it only orphans? And what exactly is underhill. The world building is terrible. Hopefully it gets better.
