Before I get any further, I have to say that this book's synopsis sounds exactly like agggtm. The podcast is for a passion project, it's an "unsolved" (more or less) case about a girl in town. The main character's name is Piper. Pippa??
This is not criticism in any way, shape or form. I just thought it was interesting, especially since I loved agggtm, so hopefully I love this book just as much.

this is the first time i've read one, and i wasn't expecting it at all.
i am not enjoying the time-travel so far. i was expecting contemporary mystery/thriller/crime/murder-mystery. this is not it.
