The more I read, the more disconnected I get with the main characters. I’m too far along now so I have too see this through but only Devine intervention would make me like this book

So I just got my first ever Kindle (scribe). Why is everything black and white? For that price, not having colour was a total shock! It’s more expensive than an iPad 🥴

Slow start. Having difficulties

This one is hard to get into. Aminah is extremely closed off, even to me as the reader. The author hasn’t done a good job in getting us to understand what the actual story is behind her trauma. We keep being fed bits and pieces and I’m getting frustrated. I usually stop when I can’t connect with a MC but I’ve made it this far and it’s a short book so I’ll painfully push through

Reviews were not promising at all but unless the author loses it, I’m all in and enjoying this book.

If Angie moved back home after Ace stopped playing, did she meet up with Cece? And how is this then the first time Ace meets Cece and her family if he flew between here and LA?
