Finally getting back to reading after my week break, Mockingjay really tired my reading endurance, I guess. I’m so excited to read this book, it seems to be a book I will really relate to and also not as thought-provoking as a book (which will give my brain a break). I also just got a new book, so I’m looking forward to reading it after this book. Have to keep my 3-book-per-month streak going!

What a fun and interesting read! The queens are GONE. WHAT? Is this part of the spell or is it a different force at play. Will the spell be compromised because the gray-egg dragonet got stolen and will presumably not be loved, or does it still work with Harmony?
What truly lurks under the Dungeon Isle that will cause problems once released along with everyone else? What will dragons think of the WildWings?

I was right! The king and queen stole the throne from the rightful dragons and the different numbers for prisoners do mean something!

This book is so interesting so far and I love the little romance going between Mulberry and Umber, they are so cute! Platypus is very determined and they just found out the secret! But what will they find there? Who knows! I wonder how this plot will last 4 more books . . .

I’ve barely read any of this book, but already I have theories.

Beryl and Snakeroot aren’t supposed to be the rulers, but they used Mulberry’s emotional manipulation power to become rulers. That’s why they don’t dwell on the past, and why the “ghost” wrote LIAR and THIEF over their names. The metallic mini dragons do something to the new dragons, and the category given means something.

But idk.

WHAT?!? No way the book just ended on a cliffhanger like that. I’m genuinely flabbergasted. The next book better come out soon or I’m going to die of anticipation.
Is the next book going to still be in Amari’s POV? Well it doesn’t matter as long as we get more Dylan and Amari together and get Elsie’s friendship back. It’s going to be so interesting! I can’t wait!

SCHOOL READ

Well, Thorn and Six didn’t end up together, but Thorn still ended up happy like he deserved so I guess it’s fine. I think it was a good book to end the series on.

I feel so bad for Thorn. His father is awful, and his best friend is missing, and his world might end soon if he and his friends don’t stop it. All his friends have had a bad time, but it feels like he drew the short straw.

If they don’t end up with each other and one of them dies . . . I don’t know what’ll do. They definitely deserve to end up as at least friends, but for Thorn’s sake I hope it’s more. Given Thorn’s backstory . . . I think he deserves it.
I still don’t really like Zenith, idk why

SCHOOL READ

Well, that’s the book. I flipped the book over after every chapter to read it from Toby’s POV, and though it took some time and was a bit tedious, I finally finished the book in Toby’s epilogue. The illustrations in this novel are wonderful, and the sprayed wave edges are nice. Now only to wait for the Gilded Blade.

One of my new books for Christmas!

I’m done with this book and I can’t help but think I probably spoiled the rest of the series because I read this book first. A is probably Alison — the real Alison — and her accomplice in Courtney’s murder. Alison surely was the one who should have gone to therapy in the first place, but Courtney drew the short stick and was done with Alison’s actions, so she exploded. But who was Alison’s accomplice?

I might be spoiling the main series by reading this, but it sounded interesting (which it is) so I decided to read it.

So intriguing.
