Makenna Pearson is starting
Finally getting back to reading after my week break, Mockingjay really tired my reading endurance, I guess. I’m so excited to read this book, it seems to be a book I will really relate to and also not as thought-provoking as a book (which will give my brain a break). I also just got a new book, so I’m looking forward to reading it after this book. Have to keep my 3-book-per-month streak going!

Finished! I always forget how low these girls score. I don’t know if the judges are harder out in the Rockies or if the author just wants this book to be accessible to everyone, but a 32 all around isn’t that hard. Maybe I’m just used to doing good and my teammates doing good, but even if some of my teammates have a bad meet they get like a 34. Maybe levels is harder than Excel?

I knew I would relate to this book but I didn’t think I would relate to it this much. Oof.
How Alexis is feeling is how I felt when I broke my arm — jealous of seeing my teammates do gymnastics and angry that I couldn’t be there with them. Luckily, I didn’t feel like that when I dislocated my elbow, but I definitely relate to not wanting to do PT but doing it anyway because I wanted desperately to get back.
