She the sister of Daniel O’Connell, who earned himself a huge monument in the middle of Dublin’s city center and had a bridge named after him, but no homage was payed for the writer of the caoineadh airt uí laoghaire

Love so many things about this book… first non-fiction that has actually stuck with me. Motherhood being humanized!!

apart from my casual dozing off it’s been much more fun than i’d expected!

Was hating it, began to really love it, now kind unsure… but in terms of objective quality (if there even is such a thing), it’s unquestionably good
