going on to book 3: my guy is officially crazy. like, he hid in some underground corridor system to FLASH women (apparently because the explicitness of it is very vague) because he was idle and “overflowing with life”. he only managed to get his shit together after M. Gaimes took him in as a pupil and started putting some common sense into his head

So… he was sexually harassed by a North-African Jewish man in the hospice. + Antes do Saxofone: eu amo os contos meio eróticos (será que dá pra dizer que o são?) da Lygia. A puta rica apelidada de Luisiana numa noite na praia pelo saxofonista que conheceu numa festa de casamento. O começo é logo incrível

Contexto: estou lendo essa coletânea dentro de uma coletânea ainda maior de todos os contos já publicados da Lygia Fagundes. Ainda não cheguei em A Caçada nem em Antes do Baile Verde, mas gostei muito de Verde Lagarto Amarelo (a imagem do suor e da gula, martirização com sadismo e uma coisa de irmãos meio Caim e Abel porque o Rodolfo tentou matar o irmão dando um canivete pro cara que ia dar uma surra nele)

A parte dos esquimós se perguntando o porquê do homem branco pensar tanto eu gostei, mas pensando agora parece meio clichê… um excerto que amei foi o do homem todo triangular e supostamente atraente que no final das contas encontra uma mulher e se treme como um cervo ao avistar um leão… sim amamos mulheres predadoras!

I loved the segment on money! Like the idea of hating it but being stingy about it is interesting - it allowing us to have freedom while we have it and enslaving us in the process of obtaining or searching for it. Seem pretty obvious nowadays but my guy was taking about this during the enlightenment… Other than that, the part on him being situationally passionate but overall very timid was, once again, relatable
