I loved the segment on money! Like the idea of hating it but being stingy about it is interesting - it allowing us to have freedom while we have it and enslaving us in the process of obtaining or searching for it. Seem pretty obvious nowadays but my guy was taking about this during the enlightenment… Other than that, the part on him being situationally passionate but overall very timid was, once again, relatable

So… he was sexually harassed by a North-African Jewish man in the hospice. Their baptism to the Catholic Church was different - the harasser got to wear all white clothing while Rousseau wore a gray one - because R did not have “the privilege of being a Jew” which I thought was an odd sentence. but right after he got into a kinky platonic relationship with the wife of a soldier who lodged him for a penny or two
