This book's been a real eye-opener for me. It's wild how the life your parents lived and their experiences can shape you - from childhood right into adulthood. It's helped me pinpoint some things about myself and recognize patterns that stem from how I grew up. Specifically, it's made me think about the kind of parent I had and, more importantly, the kind of parent I want to be.
