Just now I remember that one thing in books mostly feels off: living with blood loss. Like ... no? You don't magically feel better after a few hours. You feel even worse ,_,

I'D VERY MUCH LIKE TO PUNCH SEV AND YURI ... though, well, it only needs to punch one to make them all feel the pain.

It really starts rather slow, but I won't stop just now. Not when there's - as I believe - chaos to unleash!

Ouhhh this one is starting right at the action scenes!

Well ... just pushing through because it's been 17 € I paid for this book. I've been listing more bad points than good points by now. Even the mafia construct is boring.

I ... expected more. To be honest, it feels like a bad version of Haunting / Hunting Adeline. Then again, if you read this duology, which dark romance DOESN'T really feel like a copy?
I've got a way of picking up dark romance books in which suddenly the mmcs were able to code, had some very questionable sexual problems, were hot, tall, had scars ... yeah. That's getting ... boring. Josh, at least, was funny.

Uhh- 'cuse me? That voyeurism? I KNOW it's part of the trigger warning page. But what the HELL. I'm having Malachi flashbacks about "Why did I just read that stuff and didn't skip it ... ?"

That's uh ... let's just say I shouldn't take this book to work for lunch break reading sessions. If anyone randomly picks it up and finds one of THESE pages ... I'm sure I'd want to jump out of the window.

I'm having mixed feelings about this one, but I'm curious how it's going to progress ;^;

Did I mention that the sexual intimacy topic feels off? Yes? Can't repeat that often enough. Sex is a topic for about every three pages? It might be part of Astarion, but he. Doesn't. Like. That. And there are clearly scenes in which he wouldn't initiate sexual intimacy AT ALL.

The potato scene KILLED me. I couldn't think about anything else from then on and that's why my focus wasn't really much onto reading more today. I mean ... what in the sweet hells were they are thinking??

There are good parts, but also bad parts and I don't know what I should think about them by now. Astarion's wit is nicely restored in this book but some scenes are ... eh? Ehh? Well, the memories of him as a child are new, in general, and I do enjoy them a lot! What I absolutely DO NOT enjoy: there aren't chapters. NO. CHAPTERS. YAAAAAAH!

Aww I need the next book with Indigo's pups ;-;

Good Gods, I already talked with my colleague about what the heck is happening in this book. A monstrous seagull, melanistic leopard, walrus and a wyvern. WYVERN. Not a dragon, a wyvern (smelling like the inside of a handbag left in hot weather, whut?). And they randomly (dis-)appear. Oh and mermaids and mermen. THIS BOOK IS RIDICULOUSLY CONFUSING.

Oh good Gods, what did Peter get himself and the others into again? A giant, magic eating seagull? A magically (dis-)appearing leopard? MERMAN? Plus Abigail, Indigo, his parents, the band and THEIR MANAGER, Bev, the twins ... and Nightingale. And Abdul. I was SHOCKED about having to read about Paul, Abigail loved him despite being a shadow child :')
Oh and ... having read almost the full series: Thomas is my crush.

That's been a hell of a ride! It had Pet Semetary, The Shining, Prey (prequel of Predator) and ... somehow also Twilight vibes because who are you to tell me these books gets referenced more than once and Kim falls in love with a native american man??

Criminals with animal heads? Sounds like the cave bear episode of Hannibal. The winter setting gives me christmas vibes! And you clearly can see it's a newer book ... because in the german edition they use gender-correct language like KollegInnen. Can't someone find a better way to express this? It's annoying and distracts me, ugh.
