1. Identify the hurt and pain.
2. Put our hurt and pain in its proper perspective.
3. Ask if we are going to let our hurt determine our response?
4. Identify that this is an opportunity to allow others to be responsible for themselves.
5. Consciously choose to manage our hurt and anger appropriately.
6. Let go of our intention to control the situation.
