This book has the grumpiest grump I’ve ever read. To the point where, he talks to no one, likes no one, and consistently asks her why she “does that” in reference to her simply smiling. Why does she smile? lol. But it’s also emotional as she’s recently widowed and struggles with a reason worth living for, without her husband. And he struggles with childhood trauma causing his disconnect with the world
