it is quite sad to see the shadows of lynch's own life cast upon locke's, from the alcoholic binge to the germanish word he invented for suicidal ideation, but i will say one thing lynch excels at is writing a book nobody expected. it seems to be a unanimous opinion that this third book is the weakest of the 3/7 written so far, but i am still amused
