Good book altogether, but a little abstract and vague for the vastness of its world. All in all still a good introduction to the Dark Tower series and it did just enough to get me interested in the next installment

Just as good as I remember. Amazing commentary on belief in America, the legacies of mass immigration and the great American melting pot, and much more. Great characters who all bring new perspective to the narrative through finely crafted dialogue

Pratchetts ability to combine satire and whimsy then somehow make it incredibly profound has me falling in love with his writing. Might be my favorite book I’ve read in a while. Amazing humor, characters, pacing, and commentary. This is my gateway book to Pratchett and Discworld and I can’t wait to explore more of this universe. Incredible book. First Pratchett/Discworld novel, and it has not disappointed. Colorful characters, British humor, and great social commentary. This will become a Christmas tradition, and I’m very appreciative that no prior Discworld knowledge is required

Todays read covered the history and science of “ravehenge” and the mind altering effects of music. Such an interesting look at a mysterious historical site through the lens of music and sound amplification, rather than the human sacrifice and alien communication of old. Also started the science of celebrity and how their influence on us taps into a primal brain process. Love the authors tone and insights thus far

Love the writing style of the author and his nerdiness about the subject. Who knew our enjoyment of alcohol was evolutionary, and the little shrews were getting absolutely scrooched off of the stuff in the trees of the ancient world.

So good. I love the creepy atmosphere and use of dreams.
