I’m honestly bored so far. We have a forced proximity situation and a kissing bet so far. Kind of juvenile but whatever. I might start another book with this one so I can bounce back and forth and hopefully be less bored.

They have literally still not gotten together. Kind of beyond frustrating. I like the characters and their interactions but I need them to at least kiss!!! Will there be a third act breakup too? There better not be or I’m giving this book a bad rating.

They haven’t even really managed flirting yet!! I have no idea how they will actually get together.

Jack is absolutely everything! I do wish Allie’s crush hadn’t been so obvious in previous books but I guess as long as it’s reciprocated it’s fine.

Love this couple. Glad there isn’t a third act breakup…probably. But I can definitely see the conflict coming and it’s the same as the first book.

This is definitely a slow burn but I’m hoping that they are finally actually going to be together after this!

I love Garrett! I need them to get together already! But I know I have to wait. This is why I find second chance romance so frustrating! Because it is so much slower.

I so don’t want a third act breakup in this one! They will hurt each other so deeply if it happens and I will be so so sad. I am excited to see where this story goes. I will say there is a creepy factor in the mystery storyline and I think that factor will increase as the series goes on.

Love their relationship. I want Selene to take care of Austin a little more though. Emotionally. He is doing everything for her but she still thinks he is a carefree younger man and doesn’t see the hurt he carries. I want her to do more.

Nothing has really happened yet. I’m excited to get to the good stuff!

Why do the men in these books always go out of their way to sabotage their own relationships? I just know that Callum is going to piss me off!

This book has got me fucked up. If you think a woman would ever fall to her knees to beg a man to marry her at the altar when she just found out he has been cheating on her, just no. And after that list of shit he has done (or more accurately hasn’t done) in their relationship. I actually gasped and put my hand to my chest! Shocked!

This has been a slog. I don’t find the female lead likable so this is definitely a struggle. I am seriously considering a DNF.

Kinda bored… might DNF

This is just okay. It’s just kind of missing that something you can’t put your finger on that makes romance novels great. I’m going to continue for now but this might end up being a DNF because it’s kind of…boring.

This is kind of fun. I’m not loving it but I will continue.

I don’t understand the heroine’s resistance to the hero. I don’t think it would damage her business for them to be together. I’m really hoping they get over these reservations quickly.

I like their first meeting. I have high hopes.

This is literally EVERYTHING I want!!!! I love that he is absolutely obsessed with her!!! This is the energy I want from all the men in the mafia romances I pick up!

Ok I already freaking love this book!!! The meeting, the way he acts with her! Omg I can’t give it away but just *swoon*

What I liked about the other books in this series is that even though all of the starts were slow, when the characters got together, they were really together. And it felt like the intensity of the action plots were relatively mild. I don’t think I will get either of those things from this book. One of the characters has to start pushing for more asap!

You know, this is actually getting better. I don’t read these books for the action plots so I’m def hoping for more romance.

This guy is the don of the mafia. Why is he cowering to a family member who isn’t even an advisor to him? Why is he taking orders from another mafia group, ally or not? I want him to grow a backbone and have his “I’m in charge” moment and tell everyone else to back off.

So far I don’t like either of the characters. The guy calls her a bitch. She apparently thinks sex with him is boring. And he’s a single dad….but to a teenager. Can’t wait to read about all the teenaged angst.

I love a good grovel but this is waayyyyyy too much. Torture and now this? I can’t stop reading. It’s like watching a slow motion car wreck. I need to know what happens even if I hate the whole experience.

Honestly, the heroine is super annoying! She needs to let her brother go. He is going to get her hurt or worse. And then the fact that she defends her brother to Finn and reams him out for trying to give consequences is insane. It just makes me feel like she has no idea how the real world works. I am going to need some character development!

Very sweet. I’m a little bored but the characters are great.

Bar for bar it’s Beauty and the Beast. Expected but not nearly as good as the previous ones.

Pretty much is pure smut. The smuttiest smut smut there is. Lol not bad but not much plot.

They are still freaking enemies!! Give me a damn break! And he’s mad at her…proof that men really do have the audacity.
