Powering through...nothing has really happened in this book though. It just kind of rambles along.

Put this on pause while I waited for The Broken Queen which comes out tomorrow. Picking this back up ASAP.

This is going to be my third DNF in 4 weeks. Maybe it's me. This feels like a slog and I don't look forward to reading it, so I'm done.

16 chapters in and this is excruciating.

Cassandra straight up sucks, what an asshole.

This feels like it was super rushed. I wish there would have been more time spent refining things. I'm halfway through and still feel like I know nothing about Levi or Zephyrine.

Mehhhhh I am bored.

Someone Catholic should have helped with the first part of this book. Having to suspend a lot of disbelief/read a lot of things that don't make sense in the context of Catholicism, but it's probably just me. Pushing through because I know the story moves beyond the convent/nun/priest situation.

This is so so so bad on audio.

This has funny moments and good banter. There's also a lot of world building to explain the zombies and other non-humans. I think it may be a DNF for me despite having elements I enjoy. I cannot get into it or feel anything for the two main characters. I feel like I am forcing myself to read when I pick this up.

The way I love this weird engineer spider rock alien is unreal.

This sounded like something that I'd be super into, but I can barely pay attention 10 pages in.

Great banter. Ezra is all in and Dani is keeping him at arms length because she's a big ol' grouch afraid of getting hurt,

I can't decide if Devin is an asshole or just a dumbass. I'm not loving the way his internal monologue talks about Alex. It's an intriguing concept and has fun spots so I will most likely finish it, but yeah. Devin kinda sucks.
