It’s so sad to see her parents being attentive to the point of being almost overbearing but also very dismissive and distant…
They clearly love the main character but do they even know her? They seem to be interested in what is going on in her her life only when it’s time to scold her for the smallest infraction. It is so sad to see, poor Claudia.
