I've gotten myself into a bit of a pickle. I paid for this book.
So I'm involved now...a "you jump, I jump" kind of situation.
BUT, I'm struggling. There is so much wrong with this one so far and every time I'm hopeful it's getting better, it pulls something out of left field again and has me facepalming.

Wow this has been such a pleasant, albeit, somewhat debauched, but pleasant all the same, surprise!!!

Gonna be sitting in a car reading this evening while my teenagers enjoy a Halloween Fright Night! Loading options on my kindle. If anyone wants to throw any AMAZING recs, my way, please feel free!!! 👻🎃🧙‍♀️☠️🧛‍♀️🧟‍♀️🎃👻

Think I’m just gonna fall down the Mia Sheridan rabbit hole. I read “Archer’s Voice” months ago and truly enjoyed it. Now circling back to her other work, so many of her titles seem interesting, I can’t decide where to start! Just gonna pick one and see how it goes. 🤞

An MMC can have sex with another woman during the YEARS after a break-up with the FMC (and especially if he thinks she’s dead 🥴) and STILL be completely in love with the FMC. This is the hill I will die on LOL! 🤗

I hate, I repeat-- HATE the fact that I have to work for a living! I just want to read this frickin' incredible book and yet I'm forced to come to the office to make sure bills are paid and mouths are fed.

The tension and OTT possessive nature of the MMC in this has been absolutely delicious! I probably should be ashamed of myself for enjoying it as much as I have so far, but I can't deny that it's been a treat to the senses for sure!

Oh my. This has been lovely so far. 🥰

Only on page 17 and it’s writing like Ms. Garwood’s that reminds me why I love reading so much! Everything is said with purpose and only enhances the experience of reading the story. ❤️

In the mood for a good, old school, Western romance. I’ve read a good bit already so the trouble is finding one I haven’t read.

Great writing so far, but— I’m currently 23% in and I REALLY hope the heroine and hero meet soon. It’s times like these that really convince me that ‘Romancing the Beat’ is onto something. IYKYK.

I got free books from Amazon on Prime Day and I'm trying to check those out....all I can say is it's a struggle lol

I have NEVER struggled with meeting my reading goals like I am this year. Something’s gotta give. I need a vacation from work that’s just me, my kindle, and snacks! 🤷‍♀️🙌🤣

Thinking I should really check out Jewel E. Ann. Seems like all her books are rated pretty high. Any suggestions as to where I should start with her work are much appreciated!

I'm enjoying this one, really I am, but I'd be lying if I said that the author wasn't going in circles a little bit with the storyline. I wish we'd just make some progress already.

I'm in trouble. I just know these are going to cause a book hangover from hell!

I went into this one blind and I’m so happy I did. Such a pleasant surprise. My heart has been doing flips and somersaults “watching” all these characters interact. Love Johnny and Shannon, but I must say— my heart is completely taken with Gibsie! He’s precious and the kind of friend everyone needs. ❤️

Just starting this one. I’ve heard a lot about it and it’s supposed to be incredible— so here’s to understanding the hype! 🥂☺️

I’m officially struggling. I’m about to abandon yet another book. It may be time for me to take a break for a bit. It’s just so hard to find those soul stirring books of old these days. 🤷‍♀️😭

This book so far has been the absolute best example of "showing and not telling" I've come across to date. Can't wait to read the rest of it.

I JUST started reading and I'm very happy that this story just jumps right into it. No tedious setting up of backstory details.... Which I'm very much in the mood to appreciate LOL

She also sleeps with her bf’s brother which is also not my typical jam. BUT she thinks it’s her bf at the time and is horrified when she finds out that it isn’t, so maybe it’ll work out? Wish me luck! 🤗

Sometimes I think I should be reading deeper, more insightful material other than my romances, but then I’m like, well where the hell is the fun in that?! 🤷‍♀️🤣

22 pages in and only one chapter down and I’m already crying. Gah, I just know this one is going to pull on my soul. 🫣🥹

Having some whiplash & feeling a little lost… I’ve been fully invested, so deeply engrossed, & now the book has skipped 14 years in the future, referencing unknown characters casually, & I have no idea where everyone else is or what happened to them 🥺
Trying to trust the process.

26% in and frustration is beginning to settle in. So far, this installment is not on par with the previous two books. Still, it’s only 26% in so maybe the author hasn’t hit her stride just yet?

This one has been a very pleasant surprise so far. Hoping it maintains this kind of momentum. 🤞

It's official. I'm obsessed with the way Ellen O'Connell writes her rugged heroes. I'm going to have to savor this one since there's a very limited number of titles under her name.

I'm probably enjoying this a little too much. It's not fluffy or warm...that's for sure, but I'm enjoying it all the same and I'm so pissed I have to actually work right now and cannot continue reading it LOL
Given the reviews, I'm guess the bottom is still going to fall out lol
