Man, something just happened in this book (a book that I was REALLY enjoying btw) that now has my heart so upset that I don’t know if I can continue it. Why this author chose to add this kind of heartache to her story is beyond me, but there is no fixing this kind of loss no matter how talented of a writer they are so with no hope of being put back together— why should I even continue reading it?!

Think I'm in the mood for something different than my normal go-to material..... So if you see some strange stuff pop up that I'm reading, LOOK AWAY!!!

Man, part of this story is sitting so heavy in my gut. Just not enjoyable to read and sit with the knowledge of it, you know what I mean?

I've gotten myself into a bit of a pickle. I paid for this book.
So I'm involved now...a "you jump, I jump" kind of situation.
BUT, I'm struggling. There is so much wrong with this one so far and every time I'm hopeful it's getting better, it pulls something out of left field again and has me facepalming.

Wow this has been such a pleasant, albeit, somewhat debauched, but pleasant all the same, surprise!!!

Gonna be sitting in a car reading this evening while my teenagers enjoy a Halloween Fright Night! Loading options on my kindle. If anyone wants to throw any AMAZING recs, my way, please feel free!!! 👻🎃🧙‍♀️☠️🧛‍♀️🧟‍♀️🎃👻

Think I’m just gonna fall down the Mia Sheridan rabbit hole. I read “Archer’s Voice” months ago and truly enjoyed it. Now circling back to her other work, so many of her titles seem interesting, I can’t decide where to start! Just gonna pick one and see how it goes. 🤞

An MMC can have sex with another woman during the YEARS after a break-up with the FMC (and especially if he thinks she’s dead 🥴) and STILL be completely in love with the FMC. This is the hill I will die on LOL! 🤗

I hate, I repeat-- HATE the fact that I have to work for a living! I just want to read this frickin' incredible book and yet I'm forced to come to the office to make sure bills are paid and mouths are fed.

The tension and OTT possessive nature of the MMC in this has been absolutely delicious! I probably should be ashamed of myself for enjoying it as much as I have so far, but I can't deny that it's been a treat to the senses for sure!

Only on page 17 and it’s writing like Ms. Garwood’s that reminds me why I love reading so much! Everything is said with purpose and only enhances the experience of reading the story. ❤️

In the mood for a good, old school, Western romance. I’ve read a good bit already so the trouble is finding one I haven’t read.

Great writing so far, but— I’m currently 23% in and I REALLY hope the heroine and hero meet soon. It’s times like these that really convince me that ‘Romancing the Beat’ is onto something. IYKYK.

I got free books from Amazon on Prime Day and I'm trying to check those out....all I can say is it's a struggle lol

I have NEVER struggled with meeting my reading goals like I am this year. Something’s gotta give. I need a vacation from work that’s just me, my kindle, and snacks! 🤷‍♀️🙌🤣

Thinking I should really check out Jewel E. Ann. Seems like all her books are rated pretty high. Any suggestions as to where I should start with her work are much appreciated!

I'm enjoying this one, really I am, but I'd be lying if I said that the author wasn't going in circles a little bit with the storyline. I wish we'd just make some progress already.

I went into this one blind and I’m so happy I did. Such a pleasant surprise. My heart has been doing flips and somersaults “watching” all these characters interact. Love Johnny and Shannon, but I must say— my heart is completely taken with Gibsie! He’s precious and the kind of friend everyone needs. ❤️

I JUST started reading and I'm very happy that this story just jumps right into it. No tedious setting up of backstory details.... Which I'm very much in the mood to appreciate LOL

She also sleeps with her bf’s brother which is also not my typical jam. BUT she thinks it’s her bf at the time and is horrified when she finds out that it isn’t, so maybe it’ll work out? Wish me luck! 🤗
