Not sure how I feel about this yet. YA so always a bit hit and miss but I’m trying to get through the growing number of books on my physical tbr. The mc is not a typical mc and does some questionable things at the start. The writing and characters feel a bit surface level but I am finding myself wanting to read more so we’ll see how it goes.

This book is definitely starting to get more into the world and what’s going on behind the scenes. Carl is becoming more and more fun to read. Interested to find out more about Mordecai. Carls saviour complex is still thriving and will absolutely be the death of him.

Wtf is going on. There are headless(?) women with intestines I think flying around and there’s obviously some big reveal coming or plot twist or important information but I cannot figure out what it is. I’m def enjoying the addition of quests it adds a lot more to the books.

I don’t want to stop reading this. I really didn’t think I’d like this series and I worried that it would start to get a bit boring if it was just a rinse and repeat each book of kill monsters, level up, next floor. But this book has quite a bit more info about the people and the world and it’s really fast paced.

I love this series so much, but I'm struggling to pick it up because I just don't have much time for reading at the moment and this series takes all my concentration. I'm hoping that after I've read a couple of books to get me back into it, I will speed through this, and then I plan to reread everything before Red God; otherwise, I will have no idea what is happening.

This book is going a lot quicker than the first one. I'm listening to these (which makes them so much better than reading), so I don't know if it's actually shorter than the first book or if it's just a much faster pace. Carl, Donut and Mongo are still a really fun group to read about but I sense some tension coming which I'm not thrilled about.

Still enjoying this but it’s definitely not a very fast paced book in terms of action. I still like their relationship development and I’m not bothered by the pacing being a bit slower but I think that I want more political stuff happening. Like there are all these different countries/regions and I just think that it would be more interesting to have more politics

I took a long break from this because I was doing the audiobook and just didn’t have time to listen. But I’ve switched to kindle and I’m finally getting through it. I still have no idea what’s going on half the time and who anyone is but this is still one of my favourite series I just think I’m too dumb to keep up with his writing (also pls bring back Sevro soon)

There are some issues with the story like things not quite melding together and hearing about something and then it almost being forgotten about until much later. However I am really enjoying it. The book is fun and fast paced and I’m enjoying the mystery and the relationship.

I feel like I’m getting whiplash from this book. Just when I think we’re going down one plot line suddenly something else happens. I feel like this book is trying to include a lot of different things (secret society, big deaths, politics, fake marriage etc) and it’s becoming a bit patchwork but ai’m still enjoying.

Still really enjoying this and I’m glad I decided to read it as it is probably a book that would have sat on my shelf for ages before I decided to pick it up.

This feels like it will be super cliche enemies-to-lovers with the classic 'he's evil! Oh wait actually he's just super misunderstood,' BUT I think I'm going to eat it up. I love any book that has sassy characters or just funny comedic relief side characters and this feels like it will hit that spot.
