I really wanted to like this, but it's not working for me. I could continue reading this but I don't think I'd enjoy myself. Something doesn't click for me, I'm not so fond of the characters, and the magic is wobbly. I guess it's just not for me. Unfortunate, since I loved B. K. Borison's other book

This is the second time I try to read this book, got much further this time, but something just doesn't click with me. As much as I loved Belladonna, I feel like this one is too different. It has a different vibe that just doesn't work for me. I fear this might be a DNF

It's not keeping my attention as well as the first two books. But at least I can see how the characters fit together. The blossoming romance is truly believable.

I have like five different theories about where this is going. I'm afraid all of them might be true.

You got my attention now 👀

I was hoping for more horror. But it's so beautifully written, I'll enjoy it nonetheless
