I am eating this book up as a Caribbean girl! The rawness of the book speaks to someone of the same experiences I had but also some of the things I observed about the Caribbean culture. I have some Aunt Herma’s of my own. And my own Andre back home! The audio of the book makes it so much better! This is one of my fav reads by far this year!
