Really like this one. Creepy pasta ish though

This book really suffers from being too long. Its kind of a slog to try to finish. Its beautifully and poetically written with gruesome and sometimes nauseating themes and events. But its also incredibly surreal and only gives small glimpses into the reality of the surrealism via the 2nd narrator. Its hard to keep up with the overall plot sometimes and hard to put down then pick up again later.

GOD this is so GOOD and I am so ANGRY I am out of AUDIOBOOK HOURS on SPOTIFY for TWO DAYS

Im not sure about this one tbh. I loved The Troop but I wish these characters were older because being teens makes it harder to follow what's happening (sometimes sounds more like they're college students?)
There's also a lot of names and nicknames to keep track of. Some POVs are confusing and wordy.

You also cannot use a custom ringtone on an iPhone so every phone alert narration annoys me lol

I hope this author writers more extreme horror

Bird Box tackles this premise better. Where are the actual blind people??

As the partner of someone blind I really don't see why this book won awards, awards that weren't Yet Another Shitty Unoriginal Fall of Society Award
