Am I finally half way?😩

Wow this really was like the blueprint for dystopian YA. Well, this and Hunger Games, of course. Four and Tris are so much hotter in the book and I didn’t even think that was possible. I do like some of the changes the movie made, though tbh💁🏻‍♀️

Watched the movie for like the 500th time the other day and decided that it was time. I didn’t want to pick up this series because I know what happens at the end of the last book (GARBAGE ENDING BTW) but the author announced that she’s coming out with another book where Tris ends up in another faction and I’m kind of curious, so I had to read the original first🤷🏻‍♀️ My FOMO controls my life I fear

- THEY CAN DREAM BANG???
- I am genuinely interested in the history of these males; I wanna see life when they were all friends (Fisher, Tal, Ren, Foley, Lorreth, & their sisters)
- Carrion has a very special place in my heart

This world is fucked up as is, does there have to be mean girls in it, too?😩 I will be genuinely surprised if there is actual magic in this world and not the stupid rumor that everyone is saying about women.

Why are these chapters so long😫

Rosabelle has the worst communication skills I’ve ever seen

AHHH OKAY JAMES😍 James and Rosabelle might be even spicier than Aaron and Juliette—we’ll see. Something about them is oddly tender. Overall I love this series because these character are so unserious and I love it! Their whole world is literally being threatened and they’re all just throwing out shits and giggles and Rosa’s just there like: 🧍🏼‍♀️😦

THESE CHARACTER ARE MY EVERYTHING!! How can such highly trained and dangerous individuals be so damn funny. Tahereh Mafi has done it again ladies and gents👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Okay, now that I’m at the end, there are parts of the book that I wish they put in the show—mostly to demonstrate chemistry between characters. But I still like the changes the show made. And idk what it is but every time I finish these books I want to pick up the next right away🫨 I ❤️ Percy!

Wow it’s been a while since I updated. I wish I had more time to read😭 I would have been done with this already.

The show is actually SO different from the books, but both are pretty good time. I like how the show found different, more clever and practical ways to drive the plot. But the book is a very fun adventure, and I obviously love Percy and Annabeth to death!

Kind of confused about what the plan is and what this rot actually does but I’m more so wondering why they’re not more upset over losing a THOUSAND more of their people😦

Onyx and Carrion still carry this story btw

I actually really like the way they made Tyson less childish on the show and made him more of a brother to Percy even before they found out he actually was. In fact, I actually like a lot of what they did in the show. That might just be the beauty of watching before reading. I can appreciate both☺️

I’m in miscommunication hell

Alec is one of the most hot and cold people I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. Like goddayum do we like her or not?? And are you going to implode if you merely COMMUNICATE to her why your feelings are so twisted??? This story is very cute but I’m getting hella impatient with the miscommunication thing

Aaaaand now we’re doing the miscommunication thing AND the fake dating. Not my fav combo but maybe it’ll be good lol! So far I’m invested.

Genuinely curious about Death as a character🤔

A little disappointed the author didn’t continue with the Beudreaux descendants drama, but this book is still so good! Sad… but good.

Damn these men are going to drop like flies aren’t they💀 Paris was a crazy story. Also crazy that she admits to herself that death is going to be mad she’s revealing so much and in turn potentially kill off the entire human population—and she’s just like ‘oh well, I’ve seen enough’😂

I would actually love to see this book turned into a miniseries🙂‍↕️

Death is such a flirt omg is something wrong with me because why do I kind of ship Nella and Death more than any of the guys she’s met so far??!

Ohhh I understand the story structure now. This is actually such a cool premise! But I’m worried about the consequences of telling Sebastian about every when Death explicitly told her not to.

There’s a bit of unnecessary prose but what a cool concept this story is. I’ve never read Invisible Life of Addie Larue, but I imagine this is kind of similar.

Wow so the Tunnel of Love scene was completely different in the books. I’m also just now realizing how much the show’s been leaning into the Percabeth of it all. Okay I love the book, but I have to admit, the Arch and Tunnel of love felt way more epic and sentimental in the show. But I like both versions!

I don’t remember too much about the movies, but after watching the show, I think I’m liking the book better. There are just so many details that are different that I prefer over what the show did. That said, there are some things that I think the show did arguably better. ARGUABLY. Again, the lovely little details just make me wonder why on earth they decided to change or cut them.

Annabeth is my favorite character already, and not just because I watched the show and movies.
