LIDIA JUST PULLED A HARDCORE FIREHEART! THE FIRE-BREATHING-BITCH-QUEEN IS BACK! So not only are Ithan, the Underking, and all shifters from the TOG universe, but Lidia is an actual descendant of Brannon and therefore Aelin. I’m so confused, are they in the same timeline like with the ACOTAR universe or was Aelin’s existence something of the past or future??

Not that this is important, but I’m pretty sure Perry is Ithan’s mate. “Artist soul”, “rainbows”, “cinnamon and strawberry scent”, like come on. I’m pretty sure even Amelie didn’t have that many descriptors or backstory and she’s been here since book one. Also congrats on Ithan, but that was pretty much where I figured that was going.

This book is written so well. It’s eerie and intriguing. I’m curious about this Dr. Gantz character. My crack theory is that it’s actually Alex publishing her research under a male pen name.

So A LOT has happened. First and foremost, who is this girl and what has she done with Bryce? I get where she’s coming from but she’s acting like a spoiled BRAT. And also, POOR FLYNN AND DEC. What the fuck—do NONE of these people care about them??? They’re risking their lives and families for this cause and they get treated like the fucking help🙄 Finally, it’s about damn time Ruhn. Lidia is a queen👑

This is already VERY intriguing and very well written. I love the way the author uses pure imagery and perspective (show not tell) to tell us about our characters and about what’s happening.

Hypaxia coming in with the random dramatic plot. She just casually is like “yeah I’m not queen anymore cuz my coven tried to kill me. So now I’m pledging for House of Kappa Shadow Alpha Flame🤪”

Also my heart breaks for Lydia😔 and Hunt is definitely rising in the ranks of best book boyfriend. I feel like he and Rowan would get along well.

These last few chapters have been epic ngl. The way Bryce just walked into the room and turned into a literal queen in one page out of the 800 this book contains. But damn the trauma these characters are carrying is crazy, and the way they are all just trying to ignore it and chalk it up to trauma bonding is hurting my heart.

I wasn’t into it at first but I’m starting to see the appeal. If that many celebrities have read this AND it won a Pulitzer, I have to check it out for myself. Audiobook is pretty good for this; I would lose interest so fast if I were reading tbh

Ok so maybe I was wrong but it’s clear to me that these were direct ancestors of both Bryce & Rhys. Im guessing that their father originated from the autumn court & knows about its history. Im also guessing that the Danaans are descendants of Helena & Rhys is a descendant of Silene, but all come from Theia and King Fionn (hence why Amren has faith is Rhys becoming king). The more I learn, the more questions I have

This crossover is INSANE. I know I’m not the first to theorize this, but could it be possible that Rhys’s mom and sister didn’t die but were transported to Crescent City and became fae gods??? It cannot be a coincidence that Ruhn looks just like Rhys and Silene looks just like his sister. And the backstory??? This is blowing my mind🤯

Is this book realistic? Not even a little. Is this book romantic? Oddly, yes. Dark & spicy, but still romantic. But what I like most about it is the way it cuts the melodrama and avoids the miscommunication trope AT ALL COSTS. There have been several instances where things could have gotten really annoying, but each time the FMC is smart and willing to hear people out. This book is such a farce but in the BEST way!
