Now she’s blaming him for her decision to sleep with her neighbor for 2 years? Are we supposed to sympathize?

The most pathetic and unbelievable thing about the fake cheating backstory is that this girl did her hair & makeup and DROVE HERSELF to this MAN’S HOUSE in an expensive dress HE bought her to meet him for prom.

This is insufferable so far

Also the crash - which is supposedly the center of the narrative - has no build up and happens in 3 seconds. Evokes no emotion, fear, or dread

Also where is the tension in this book? We find out they still love each other and they have an almost intimate scene (sister w sisters fiancé) before the wreck even happens!!

WHY do they do fly to Brazil to pick up the wedding dress - they don’t ship??

EVERYONE died on the wreck except them two??

The fact that for 10 years neither character was able to get over anything since they’ve been 16 is absolutely insane and it’s supposed to be romantic??

hooooo boy that mother is a piece of work. toxic, competitive, selfish

I also don’t think this is a book I can listen to while doing other work that involves brain processing/reading (like scrolling/reading captions/texting a friend). This I have to pause because it feels like every interaction they have is very intentional and I don’t want to miss the progression.
