Lily is writing to Ellen about her divorce with Ryle. She is saying that she misses him but she doesn't regret her decision. She did it for the wellbeing of her daughter.

I haven't gotten very far in the book, but so far this book is very similar to the first one. It is written the same, and Lily still writes to Ellen. Lily is describing her custody plans for her daughter with Ryle. It is very understandable for me because my parents are divorced so each parent gets half the time.

Mya is really interested by Adam's schizophrenia. She kept asking him question and trying to find him clinical drug trials for him to test out.

Adam didn't know if May, his girlfriend, was even real. Because when he saw her one night and she got ran over by a semi truck!? Adam also doesn't know how to feel about his mom's pregnancy. It is really getting to her and she can't have a normal conversation because of how difficult her pregnancy is getting.

Adam is starting to get taken off the medication, but not immediately the doctors are doing it slowly over time. The reasoning the doctors gave was that the meds were only making a negative impact on Adam, unlike they were when he started taking them.

Adam somehow cut his hand open at the LIBRARY? He thinks Ian and Maya are starting to notice he's not normal. And Adam is often having trouble going to sleep, but he doesn't want to take sleeping meds because he doesn't want to be put on more medications. Which is understandable. In fact, when Adam was struggling to sleep he got up and made lots of homemade desserts and treats.

Adam finds out that his mom is PREGNANT!! And doesn't even talk about it in the story. But he also finds out about the Sandy Hook school shooting, and all his family and educators are nervous he is going to do something like that because his schizophrenia is telling him too.

T- is always being bullied by Ryan, Jared, and Med. Then when an adult comes around they try to act all sweet and innocent. And T- REALLY enjoys photography. I don't even understand this book 75% of the time because it is written really weird.

Maya and Adam got in a little fight but within five minutes after, they were completely fine and literally making out. This shows a lot of importance in the book because it shows the ins and outs of Adam and Maya's relationship and how easily they forgive each other.

Maya has something going on. Adam can't figure out what's wrong but it's definitely something. When Adam would ask Maya what's going on she would storm off and not answer. This could describe how Adam feels because he doesn't even know if he emotions are real, and imagine being him. Not knowing if your friends, family, or even objects are real.

Adam notices the knives that are supposed to be in the kitchen aren't there anymore because Paul took them and hid them. He is starting to feel guilty about something that he cannot control, because Paul and his mom are both afraid of Adam. This is important because in this book it is in 1st person so we know all Adams emotions through everything he's going through and knowing everything help alot.

With Adam's disorder distractions help him because he has less symptoms. This is important because he told how he has different way to cope with his symptoms than other people with this disorder. That really shows how different mental disorders are on different people, and we need to show more awareness of mental disorders.

Adam realizes there have been "famous people" who also have schizophrenia, it's not just weird, abnormal people who have mental disorders. In fact, he noticed that Joan of Arc had schizophrenia and you know what happened to her when everyone found out? They burnt her. This effects the story because it really puts the reader into the perspective of how mental disorders change you and your mindset.

Adam is alone with Maya, because finally left to go somewhere not near them. He feels no one understands his disorder even his doctors. Because he feels they aren't really doing anything right and he doesn't have trust for them anymore. This is important because it really shows Adams true feelings about everyone apart of his life.

Adam saved Maya from drowning in the pool, but she still doesn't know about his schizophrenia. As he jumped into the pool his nose started bleeding and luckily Maya was not one of his hallucinations. This is important because it shows how much trouble Adam goes through every day in order to not look like a lunatic.

Adam was at communion for his catholic school and all he could think about was Rebecca and hallucinations about a shooting. This affects the story because it tells more about Adam's life and how this one thing changed his whole life. Also, what his family, friends, and peers think of him.

Adam hallucinates because he has schizophrenia, but nobody at his school really understands. But there could be a girl that understands him more but he just met her.

While reading I noticed that Master Jefferson keeps showing more and more support for his sons. For instance, he went to Poplar Forest twice a year and brought Maddy and Beverly every time.

Delilah is trying to figure out a way to break into Logan's room, to completely delete the video of her killing Brandon, so he can't use it against her. A signpost I found was again and again. Delilah keeps going to Aisha's dorm very early in the morning for them to plot their breaking and entering plan.

Dee is drugging Logan. Which is crazy, because she can't really tell anyone exactly what's going on in her life except for Aisha. Sorta. I notice that Delilah has become really good at lying on the spot. That is one way that she's developed from the beginning of the book. This is important because it shows her character development in a different way.

Delilah actually hates Logan, he mentioned to Dee's mom that he's going to college in Singapore, basically just so he could stalk Delilah. This is important to the story because it shows how much it matters to Logan to stalk Dee,

Delilah is actually starting to catch feelings for Logan, I feel like. I keep noticing that Logan is mentioning that Delilah and him were meant for eachother. This is important because it shows how desperate Logan is for her even though he might not act right towards her.

Delilah hates Logan and his friends in this moment. And Aisha literally won't talk to her, because Aisha feels as if Delilah is ignoring her. A signpost I found was again and again, where I can tell Delilah doesn't know haw to feel about Logan

Mendez came back to Delilah's house and brought doughnuts, but Delilah's mom told Mendez about Brandon abusing them. This is important to the story because it shows that someone else knows other than Logan.

Delilah was shown the video of Brandon's death, by Logan. This shows importance because Delilah knew that was the best idea she's ever been on. But she's now not sure if she really likes Logan actually.

Jarrett officially got a letter from his father, and his mom has a new boyfriends. His name is Miguel. I found that almost every weekend Jarrett was hanging out with Pat and some other friends. This is important to the story because it show he does have friends and drawings, and those are the only two things keeping him alive.

They got a divorce. As a kid with parents that are divorced it is definitely sometimes hard, but I would much rather have divorced parents than having a dad who doesn't treat my mom the way she deserves to be treated. Knowing that Lily asked Ryle to get a divorce in the hospital bed like 5 minutes after Emerson was born is sad.

Lily doesn't know what to do. And I notice a repetition in how everybody finds out Lily is actually pregnant. They are shocked for a moment then super excited and happy. This is important because it shows the emotions of the characters and how Lily felt telling them the big news.

It was really awkward while reading, because lily found out about many secrets about Atlas especially. This is very important to the story because Lily thought Atlas was like the only person she could trust, but even Atlas was lying to her during the hard times Lily is going through.

I don't know exactly who I like better. Ryle or Atlas? Because they both really love Lily, but Ryle has anger issues. And that is especially harmful to Lily because she saw her mother get abused as a teenager, so Lily gets hurt easily.
