Jarrett officially got a letter from his father, and his mom has a new boyfriends. His name is Miguel. I found that almost every weekend Jarrett was hanging out with Pat and some other friends. This is important to the story because it show he does have friends and drawings, and those are the only two things keeping him alive.

Jarrett has found out many things since going to Disney World, like how his mom is a drug addict and she got overdosed. But the other good thing about this book is that I get to know how it feels to have your mom or dad as a drug addict, because I have never experienced that. Also, how Jarrett has to live with his grandparents because he doesn't really have anyone else.

Jarrett is going through a lot, and his identity has not really been found by himself yet. He doesn't exactly know who he is. He found the real truth about his mother, so that revealed a part of his identity because he finally knows after so long of questioning that. Also, a signpost I found was memory moment because the whole book is basically memories, whether they were good or not.

I am learning about Jarrett and his early life. I am also learning more about Jarrett's mom's identity. She tries to work hard for her son but also only really cares about her love life, it seems like. Jarrett's mom only keeps putting Jarrett behind her boyfriends and everything along those lines.
