Elli's mom is a professional rage baiter but i KNOOW this is some cheap tactic to make me more empathetic for her by the time the "truth" comes out as to why Ellis had to leave and go away from the home that she only knew.

I don't like the pacing anymore. At this point of the book, things are going a little too fast. I wanted to see more of Lou's struggles in running the Comeback Inn but she somehow became a whiz of running the place after her disastrous attempt of making scrambled eggs. But there are some poignant parts of the story where I really really like Lou's advice and she's dealing with her breakup while crushing hard on Henry

Im still hooked and very much interested to see where Henry and Lou are going with this ring around the rosey situation that they’re in. Breakups are messy and I love how this book explores, not extensively, but, to a degree that everyone can see themselves in. and also i dont think lou being an unlicensed therapist is really doing much to the story while other than being a cheap subplot to an already decent story

So far I'm loving it! The story is steadily gaining traction as Lou is figuring out how she will heal her broken heart, save the home that she deeply loves, and please the land lord, Henry. The pacing is just right and I hope it builds into something more.

I might be having a good time but reading this after Funny Story aint the best experience. Although the autumn atmosphere is very strong and i like it. I just wish the characters more fleshed out through dialogue rather than just outright saying it.

The dialogues can use a little bit of substance rather than just building it up to the sex scenes (it's really that predictable but hey im still enjoying it). The story could also benefit from going beyond the grouchy x sunshine trope.

The narration is a bit of a drab. Teenager me would've eaten this shit up but I'm still having a good time. The Inn and the small town is so far the story's saving grace. The atmosphere is truly fall and I love it!!

Everything about this book is just perfection. The right amount of whimsy without compromising the rationality and grounded reality of problems that most people face and carry. Emily Henry is just amazing.

idk why i cried when daphne quickly confessed to miles that she no longer wanted to play the game that she started and miles kissing her hard stop to prove that nothing was ever for show. it was so intense and raw. the buildup from comparing herself to petra and peter trying to make her feel small to the kiss was just perfect

Miles: A stoner, simp, lover boy, i would move mountains for you typa love is being FRIENDLY(??) to Daphne. Furthermore, I love how Daphne is a self-deprecating, socially awkward, and flawed human being. How she’s is honest about leaning heavily towards the emotional safety net that ex fiance gave to her that she was deprived from all her life, blurring her identity to his preferences, lifestyle and social circle.

Why is Daphne me but just acerbically funnier?

I started a new supervisory job and it has challenged and scared me in many ways. This book couldn’t have come at the right time and place.

If only I read this book sooner perhaps I would be a bit kinder to myself and more aware as to how I react the way that I thought was seen as "weird" or "over the top".

This book is the biggest hug I longed for. It has given me some insight as to why people tend to care more about others; more so than they should and how you can start your healing journey by putting distance between our thoughts and ourselves.

This far into the book, I'm only ever intrigued by what happens next like how a vertical drama from a Facebook sponsored reel makes me want to if the main character ever gets the justice that she deserves.

Arsinoe has my heart all throughout the book. It's almost as if the author likes her the most because she is the most well-fleshed out character in the story.

JOSEPH SANDRIN THE CHEATER THAT YOU ARE!!!!

It was a pretty dreary start in my opinion but as I reached halfway towards the story, it's hooking me in. Arsinoe is a pleasure to read about and might be my favorite character next to Mirabella. However, Joseph Sandrin can literally get lost that fucking cheater.

I still can't fucking stand this book.

I hope I get to see how regretful Sadie is as the story progresses. She was annoyingly stupid when her mother kept calling her and was unable to keep her foot down when Cruz was breathing down her neck about a promising career that could outshine Max's.

What the fuck was that dinner scene? Trying to build some sort of animosity between Ethan's dad and Penny but all of a sudden they were laughing and giggling without any explanation? That just looks like lazy writing to me.

I really want to stop reading after reading through two sex scenes that didn't feel the slightest bit romantic nor did it contribute to the development two of the main characters' lackluster dynamic or lack thereof.

I want to DNF this but at the same time I don't. There are some redeeming moments for the FMC but in the end it falls flat all over again by the unnecessary moments that aren't consistent with her persona. Ex. her glaring at shelby when she left the bar with Ethan to appear petty like? Her dad so far is the mature one and has given her good advice but ofc FMC refuses to listen.

Okay, things are sort of picking up right now. The FMC is still a tad bit annoying but it takes a while to get accustomed to her personality (or lack thereof). There is more context to her return in Magnolia Springs and there is a steady build of who she is as she explores the town that she grew up in and I'm all for it. I hope I won't be disappointed, fingers crossed.

Nora Ehpron never fails to put things into perspective. From hating on her purse, scrutinizing her high-maintenance rituals to parenting, she is a certified complainer but one that makes absolute sense. It's hard to ignore the privileged life that she lives but she is speaking from experience.

I'm barely into the story and I'm starting to dislike the FMC already. It's one thing for a character to dread coming back home to their hometown, bumping into the people that she grew up with but its another to call an old high school classmate a "bitch" for recognizing her but when the classmate shows no further interest of conversing with her she hates her even more??? Idk but the character is insufferable.

It has taken me a couple of weeks to get this far. I'm really tempted to DNF this book but I'm determined to finish it.

I can’t stand this series. The FMC is unbearable and has little to no depth in any of her thoughts and being. I’m not entirely convinced of her mission or purpose because she seems to grapple with it due to her muddled feelings for two men.

Loving it so far! For the first time, I feel as thought I’ve broken through the fog that has been blocking me from ever gaining clarity.

The writing is absolutely breathtaking.

The characters are well-fleshed out so far and I can't wait to read more.
