This is a romance book. The fantasy aspect was so dominant at the beginning, it took me a while yo realize this is just a romance story

It started a but slow for me but right now I’m starting to get interested in Yumi’s life. What she just found out was so sad

Omg i was bored. He’s a terrible killer but she wants him. He only wants her. Neither can make up their minds. Neither really has any logical thought it’s just all feel, feel, feel. Where’s the yearning? 🥲

Man, Red Fish is going through some ANGST. I wonder if her son believes that she was the one who put a stop to the romantic development of her relationship with the Red Scholar? It sounds like it.

Over half way through the book and the story is barely starting. The plot is way too simple to warrant 400 pages. And also, way too much time is being spent on side characters, including exes. I’m not enjoying the flashbacks or all the talk about sex with other people but the main characters are solid and the smut is decent

I really want to pick up the physical copy of this book and knock it out in like two hours, but i really like the narrators so far. A few cringe moments, but honestly, it's cringy to read hard smut in my car anyway

Honestly, it's cute but...that's it. Nothing special to right home about.

I don't know yet if I hate this book or I like this book. Will is an absolute asshole. He's just stringing Jesse along, and the way he talks is CLEARLY manipulative and abusive. Yeah, he seems to know that it's wrong, but he sees it more as like Jesse isn't the right type for him, rather than realizing he's an ASSHOLE. Even Cas, who is an actual serial killer, so far reads like a better fucking person.
