Finally pierces are Star

Ok, I hopped back on this series because it was on kindle unlimited. But this book gave me whiplash! I didn’t understand what was happening at the start, I went back to read the last few chapters of book 1, aaaaand- no. Didn’t skip anything.

Unfortunately- I have to DNF this for child adult-ification. When one of the MMC is thinking “she’s only five and all of us dumb alphas make her be the emotional mediator, she sounds so adult and she shouldn’t have to… but she’s an omega so she cares a lot and makes rules about the house” sorry no. Trigger for me, instant DNF. Five adult men cannot get their act together before they fall in love? No.

Interesting. Native American/cowboy in the future… water is sparse. Can they learn to work together despite the generations of hate and killings? I’m enjoying it so far, but I’m not SURE if I’ll finish it. I’m taking a break and we’ll see if I find the right moment to grab it again.

Whew. I’m getting sucked in. I’m usually a fantasy girlie, so the realism vibes are a bit harsh for me, but I wanna keep going!!!

Don’t worry about me… I’m just not so into witchy/demon stuff. Should have realized earlier.

Fun while I lasted… but I fell asleep and am not interested to pick it up again.

I grew tired of this. It felt like the author set up problems that had pretty easy solutions from the character’s perspectives. I was not hooked and was getting bored.

I am struggling to stay connected. This may not be the right time for me to read this book. I’m getting irritated by the flowery dramatic language. Maybe another time.

Ooo. Ok, I have had to take multiple breaks because this gets heavy. I am in the middle of a break now, but it IS good. I really like how the MC doesn’t change who she is when it would benefit the story… she makes the same decisions she would make which sometimes feel like mistakes or the wrong one from an outside perspective. But I appreciate the commitment to the humanity or her character.

Listening to the audiobook has been really helping me read this. I get emotional about the subject matter and it makes it hard for me to keep going. The audiobook is lovely though.

I lost interest unfortunately, I love the premise!!

Sometimes I get intimidated by the drama at the end of a book. This is one of those moments. There is dangerous magic about to happen and I am a little scared silly! I hope to come back to this because it really was fun and hot and a good read!

I’ve lost interest :/ I feel like we’ve lost the FMC to the bear-lore context.

Just not working out for me. FMC is a little too… willing to run headlong into danger/offending her friends/away from hearing context for me.
