The amount of times I 've rolled my eyes & scoffed at the story is racking up! It feels like an early rushed draft of a story idea not fully fleshed out & lacking good feedback. I've been tempted a few times to quit, but now I'm curious to see if it continues to go downhill. We get so much telling instead of showing, & our heroine is incredibly naive for being 20 years old.

A stupid series, but I want some questions answered to close the loops for me. Save yourself! Don't read this series. It's overhyped. While book 1 had some good elements & was interesting, storytelling & character development quality nosedived from book 2 onward. There'll be one more book before this ends. It should've been a trilogy. Only here to find out what's up with Cyrus & see if fun dragon stuff happens.
