Julie Andrews is so lovely to listen to that I have kept her at normal speed instead of speeding up the rate (I typically listen at 1.5-2x rate to audiobooks & podcasts).

Loving hearing Julie Andrews narrate her own (second) memoir—this one focuses on her Hollywood years, but it does start with a recap of her childhood & early performing days in vaudeville with her mom & stepdad & then Broadway in her late teens & early adulthood.

The amount of times I 've rolled my eyes & scoffed at the story is racking up! It feels like an early rushed draft of a story idea not fully fleshed out & lacking good feedback. I've been tempted a few times to quit, but now I'm curious to see if it continues to go downhill. We get so much telling instead of showing, & our heroine is incredibly naive for being 20 years old.
