Been listening to the audiobook whenever possible bc I never have time to just sit down and read rn. Quite good so far! Here's to hoping I don't fall off and stop listening to this one since jt's such a complex fantasy world

the lesbian situationship is so "Have you ever gotten everything you ever wanted? No. But once I got very close" coded

don't love the whole "bloodmaid" thing. it feels...icky. But, lesbian "vampires" so fuck yeah

The plots pretty interesting, but I feel like there's too much information all at once packed into paragraphs. It's difficult to comprehend some of the world building when it's all thrown at you like that. There's also a lot of swearing, it kinda throws me out of the universe just because it feels unnecessary a lot of the time.

The writing often tells rather than describes. what I mean by that is things like appearance and feeling are just listed. It's generally easier and more enjoyable to read (specifically for me) if things are reveled slowly and not mashed together into a list.
