Started this and then got smacked up side the head with all my school reading 😵‍💫 I hope to return it during Christmas

Wow wow wow! My mind continues to be blown with the insane depth and beautiful, meticulous details that the Old Testament contains 🤯 specifically this chapter about genesis makes connections I have never heard before, but makes the image of Eden so much more vivid in my mind along with God’s good intended design for it

Wow I’m only on page 34 and I’ve already learned SO MUCH. Highly recommend if you want to learn more about the old testament

My not for school fun reading book 😄 we’ll see how this one compares to the first

Some more light reading for school

Haven’t finished but what I’ve read so far makes me think this is going to be a 5 star. If you want to learn about what life is like in prison or how drastically different life is after getting out, read this book. I have far greater compassion for those that have been in jail or prison and how hard life is after you get out! I have to say but I’ll leave it for the final review 👀

Oh my gosh Norma’s mom is kind of the worst… She places so much unfair guilt on her Norma who didn’t do anything and doesn’t deserve it. It makes me so sad to hear all the ways the guilt effects her 🥺 this book is sad but dang also really great as describing so many human experiences

lol I had to return this to the library after I got halfway but I’m going to try and get it again so I can finish it 🤪 can’t said this one has hooked me but still worth finishing

Dang I’m not even far into this one but it is already displaying the danger of sitting under twisted Christian teaching. The gospel plus anything else is not the gospel and is quite problem and destructive.

I’m hooked and very interested to see how Joy’s story progresses

Audiobook memoirs are turning into my new favorite way to enjoy literature

Got this from the library to read during Christmas but just now getting around to it and the end of January haha

Loving this one so far. I like the stream of consciousness writing style and wow his life and stories are just so interesting

Dang probably should’ve expected violence from a book about 2 tours in Vietnam but I didn’t… definitely enjoying the book but maybe just have prepared myself a little more for what I was getting into. Also dang there are some sad parts so buckle up if you plan to read and don’t get too attached

Very good so far and always leaves me with something to think about with each chapter.

The story took a dark turn a few chapters ago and I’m trying to decide whether to keep reading or just leave it be. If it gets better in a few chapters I could deal with it but I don’t know if I could for another 200 pages… I enjoyed the story until this point but it’s just kinda dark and depressing now…

Also enjoying this one. Still in the frame of the story so we’ll see if it continues to maintain it’s current level of non scariness or if I’ll have to put it to rest for the sake of my ability to sleep

Thoroughly enjoying this one. Inspiring me to try more in the kitchen! I also got it on audiobook read by Tucci which also adds to the enjoyment factor. (I also found out this way that he does a great Julia Child impression)

Really enjoying this one. Havn’t read a memoir in a long time and this has reminded me how much I enjoy them! Reading Beth’s story has been interesting, encouraging, and convicting. I knew nothing about her before but ask me about Beth Moore now and I could tell you loads!

Man, I forgot how many bratty moments Harry has… love the guy but he need to learn to have a little patience and look outside himself! And to remember his friends have his best interests at heart even if he doesn’t like what they are doing
