Is the author's intention to make us despise Very? Because she's doing a good job of it!

I won this book in a Goodreads giveaway, in a Kindle version. Not too far in, but I'm already intrigued by the main characters chance meeting. I already like their chemistry.

I'm interested to see where this book that I won in a Goodreads giveaway is going to go. I like the historical English village setting

SO excited to begin reading this!!!

50 pages in, and I'm already REALLY tired of reading about wrestling.

Less than 50 pages in and this book is already freaking me out. So ominous.

This different fonts for different times and perspectives is just not working for me.

Attempting to warm up to this one.

"Stop standing there like a corpse and move." Wha? Since when do corpses stand? I hope this isn't a sign of further dumbness to come!

I started this book thinking it was going to be one of those fun type of books in the style of A.J. Jacobs, like The Year of Living Biblically. A wacky adventure. Um, no. So far I'm finding it very preachy and apparently we are all poisoning ourselves to death.

So far I'm very disappointed in this book. I'm finding it very doll and having a hard time slogging through it. Very creepy pictures. Very weak story.

As a Wisconsinite, I'm personally offended by the author's depiction of our residents being backward, rednecked yahoos. This is going to be one of those tiresome books where the overprivilaged characters moan about how awful their lives are, isn't it?

I don't like these people very much. OK, at all!

The creepiness of this book is like a looming, palpable black cloud. Right now there are just hints of evil to come, but I can tell some totally messed up things are going to happen. I'm loving it! Richard is a first class creep.
