Ich find die Darstellung und den Umgang mit diesem Thema hier gut und wichtig.

Ich find die Storyline gut, hadere aber mit dem Schreibstil. Die Ausdrucksweise ist mir manchmal zu krass. Fast schon gekünstelt over the top. Und es werden wirklich seeeehr viele Anglizismen oder englische Wörter verwendet was ich in der Menge nicht gewohnt bin.

Well... There goes Jane, I guess. She clung to her faith so much since it was one of the few things she had control over. And was a pawn in the twisted games of others.

Honestly I feel like all the people around Mary just kept failing and misleading her.

I really like the relationship between Mary and Elizabeth so far. Like sure, Mary blames Elizabeth's mother for everything that happened to her and Catherine (we all know the real villain is Henry) but that's still her baby sister and she loves her. And Elizabeth looks up to Mary so much.

Well at least they are finally married.

Henry keeps pressuring these women into relationships with him. Like, to a point where these women simply can't refuse. Because he is the king and keeps pestering them. I already hated him when I read the books about the Six Queens by Weir and this book is only adding to that hate. And I haven't even reached his second marriage yet...

This is kind of weird. Like yeah, there are sad moments but it's not really affecting me as much as I thought it would? Maybe because I couldn't really build emotional connections to these characters? And I feel like Haymitch's relationships to them are also underdeveloped so I don't really get his pain either.
