Last chapter reminded me brutely of Martin Niemöller's famous piece "First They Came."

Unsettling undertones, that are becoming all the more current. First published in 1933 and inspired by Isherwood's own experiences this is unnerving and thrilling so far.

Can't wait to start on Goodbye To Berlin, that was the inspiration of my fave Cabaret.

The scandal! of a young lady who has agency..!!
And a slightly creepy (young but really older) man obsessing over her... :D

I just need to express my love for the men in this book. They are NOTHING like Niclays, hhaha

I love Wolf so so so much! I was blushing giggling and kicking my feet a few chapters ago, hihi
