The trauma … it’s a tough one but so so good

I think dystopian fantasy is making a personal come back for me 😍

I’m not usually into a sci-fi dystopia setting, but I love this!

This book is so easy to devour in one weekend 😍

Dnf 109 pages in. First off- the story has zero purpose and no clear reasoning to what the plot is. An adopted princess who happens to the be only witch of her generation that cries over an old love interest kissing another woman 😒 Oh for the love of Pete… get a grip.

I go from bawling my eyes out to kicking my feet and giggling 🤣🥵 from tears to swooning - it’s wild

This book is NOT for the faint of heart 😭 the torture is brutal

Now this … this is a dark and ruthless villain… it’s about time I find a true morally black male 😍

Reading until 1:39 Am because this is the definition of TRUE SLOW BURN! Heated gazes, bully romance, defiant FMC, emotional depth within her friend group! I will gladly give up sleep for this 😍

Loving the trails, but I could have cut so much out of this book to keep the pace going.

The sibling relationship is so sweet that is makes me nervous… nervous for possible foreshadowing. Also, the banter between Xul and Thais is fantastic. Sometimes she’s so gullible (in a minor way) it makes me laugh out loud

The banter is giving. I love a book when the main couple hates each other and throws out every arrogant comment known to man 🤣

Time and time again this FMC falls into her self-conditioned detachment habits. This is why I don’t like her. I need my lead females to have drive, a purpose, curiosity, and determination to prevail. Whether she makes a plan, fights like hell, or stays focus, that’s what I want! It pains me to read about a leading lady who rolls over anytime she’s cornered

I feel like I don’t know this fmc at all even this far into the book. I get that she has trauma, but she cuts her self thoughts off before we learn anything about her. She also cuts other characters off the moment they try to get to know her on a deeper level, but she stops them! So I can’t get to know anyone because she shuts them up

I like the book, but the fact that we’re still unsure of the overall plot 45% of the way in- way too long. I hate time hops, but I see that they’re necessary for the moment. I feel like there’s been nothing truly new happening for the past 20% and it’s erking me. I am only going to finish to see that my current theories are correct.

The tears keep coming… for tender moments, sorrow, love - ugh Jen. My heart cannot take this!!

Put this down at 48% because the story went in circles. Anytime something happened to the fmc it happened to the MMC. It was getting rather boring and I couldn’t tell what the main couples purpose was.

Had to put this down because the plot fizzled out. It started out strong, but I felt like the storyline was lost

I’m sad to say it… but I’m struggling to push through

Dnf because the plot was in a continuous loop with absolutely no progression from chapter to chapter.

I hate how things have turned sappy … that’s the problem when it comes to RH in some cases…. Knowing that this is book 3 of 4…. I don’t know if I can take the sappy confessions every chapter
