No maps, poorly described photos. Writing is adequate but reads like a sprawling report rather than a neat story. This is due mostly to the complexity of the events. Nevertheless, the minutiae of intrigue and political wrangling between the parties is not the stuff of epic drama, more like the basis of an aristocratic pettiness. So many names.
