A few pages in (3 to be exact), and I really want to DNF. The ONLY reason I’m continuing is because the he’s age is past romance book puberty (18-23 years old) which is a damn unicorn these days.

Nope..couldn’t do it. It felt like I was reading a bunch of words without substance. Immature, silly characters that had no chemistry.

The back and forth is really annoying. It’s like the characters are insulting each other just because. It’s childish, they have no chemistry and are immature. The h/ is hella aggravating, not endearing at all.


I feel like DNFing this crap.

A few pages in and I can tell by the style of writing that it may not be the book for me. I’ll give it a chance though.

The struggle is real. H told h “I love you” and my first thought was “how”? I should have DNF a few hours ago. I’m led to believe that two different authors wrote part I and this book or ...the he’ll if I know.

They have NO chemistry, my goodness! The characters from book one makes this book tolerable. I’m struggling to continue reading, what a shame.

Maeve is kinda boring, I hate to admit it. The character spends too much time with inner thoughts that I began skipping them entirely. Thus far, It seems this will be a 3 star read. Disappointing since I bypassed all the other books to get to this story after the first book.

I’ll call it from now, A 4 star read.

It’s already a 2 star read but I have no idea why I’m persisting.

DNF . I knew it was over when I skipped over the sex scene. The story is about a lesbian and a boring enforcer.

I’m already skipping through some pages, it’s a slow start indeed.

Not really feeling it, dude sound like an immature jerk. The author is building a weak hero thus far.

To my recollection, this is the second time I’ve rated a L.K. book as 3 stars. It’s a very traumatizing moment and I have nothing further to add b/c It’s devastating.

3 stars? For a Lisa Klaypas book? A LISSSAAAAA MF KKLLAAAYPPAASS BOOK????????????

If ever in life another LK book is 3 stars, I won’t rate it.

I refuse to. She’s a phenomenal writer and minor hiccups will be ignored.

Not one damn time did Nadia live up to the description of her character. Not ONE.

I rolled my eyes throughout the entire book.

I'm dragging. I really just want to read book 8 but my OCD wont let me skip any nooks in the series, which is unfortunate because I find this book really boring.

Stopped to read the first book in the series. The author kept mentioning them so the story felt incomplete.

I love this author but the redundancy in this book is killing my enjoyment of it. I get it " most powerful "power" "power" and "powerful" , "sister of a duke, daughter of a duke" yuppers. I shall press on.

The grammar is killing me, but I must persevere.

I am trying so hard to finish this. I want to like it, but they hero constantly speaks in innuendo and I have no clue what he is about. It's almost as if the H isn't really necessary for this book. I usually don't write any reviews but , I'm annoyed :/
